MY 2021 GOALS
welcome to My 2021 Goals page.
Every year I set for myself a long list of goals I want to accomplish. I’ve been doing this for over 12 years now. And this year is no exception.
Setting ambitious goals is a great way to dramatically improve your life but also a great way of self-discovery.
Or as David Goggins said:
“I don’t know where my limits are, but I want to go there”
I set my goals in various areas of my life, such as: Business, Coaching, Personal life, Health & Fitness, Profile, and Value.
Since 2017, I’ve been sharing my goals publicly along with monthly updates on my progress.
You may be asking… Why?
THESE are my five reasons
- For those who are thinking of working with me, I want to show that I walk my talk.
- I want others to see me fail. Wait, what? That’s right. Failure is essential part of progress. Pursuing ambitious goals never goals smooth. That’s part of the game. I hope that when others see me facing my challenges they will drop the idea of perfectionism and get on with their goals and dreams.
- I want to inspire you to be more courageous with your own goal, be more driven, committed and disciplined.
- I want to show you how I get stuff done, how I set goals and how I work towards them so you can apply it for your own growth.
- Lastly, when I share my goals with you all it creates the pressure and accountability I need (and want) to push myself. (Trust me, I don’t always feel like it either. But so what?)
Total number of goals: 54
My Business goals
Website Traffic 40,000
I WILL EASILY Reach annual website traffic of 40,000 BY DECEMBER 31ST
Why: More traffic means more visibility, more value shared, and more business. Simple as that.
Reflection/Actions: Well, needless to say, I’ve crushed this one. I believe it could have been even higher if I created more content. But this result is great and I’m very pleased with it.
I WILL EASILY have at least 1000 Scorecards taken on my website BY DECEMBER 31ST
Why: The Lifestyle Scorecard and The Self Discipline Scorecard are free tools people can use to get a better understanding of why they may not be getting the results they want.
You can take The Lifestyle Scorecard HERE.
Reflection/Actions: Completed! My article in The Guardian brought a lot of traffic and consequently scorecards taken.
I WILL EASILY publish my new Self-Discipline Scorecard by BY April 1ST
Why: It will be a great way for people to understand what is missing for them to be more disciplined and productive. It’s also a very engaging way of marketing.
Reflection/Actions: All done and ready.
I will easily create Online PORTAL for my Unbreakable Self-Discipline Bootcamp™ by April 1st
Why: I want to create an online library of videos that will allow people to go through the core concepts of the program in their won time. This will then allow me to use our live group calls for Q&A and implementation coaching. This way the participants get even more value out of it.
Read more here: Unbreakable Self-Discipline Bootcamp
Reflection/Actions: The portal is ready
I will easily relaunch my Unbreakable Self-Discipline Bootcamp™ as an ongoing programme
Why: This will allow people to join at any point rather than at specific launch dates. I want to give people the opportunity to join when they need it.
Reflection/Actions: Very exciting.
I WILL EASILY MIGRATE MY MARKETING TO A MORE SUITABLE PLATFORM BY March 1ST
Why: Marketing is absolutely essential to running a successful business. While the platform I’m using works well, it’s lacking some fundamental features I need. Migrating to a different platform will be a challenging task with a steep learning curve.
Reflection/Actions: All done. It’s was quite a task. I’ve been deciding between a number of platforms but it’s all done now. The lesson I’ve learned is: There isn’t a perfect solution to most things. “Prolific beats perfect.”
OUtsource 10 projects
I will outsource and delegate 10 projects BY DECEMBER 31ST
Why: As I grow my business there are more and more tasks that need to be done. I want to free up more of my time so I can focus more on my clients and creating valuable content.
Reflection/Actions: There will be many more projects I’ll outsource in 2021. I set this goal to push towards getting comfortable delegating my work, getting better at it, and learning that others can do it just as well, if not better than me.
I will easily complete at least two advance copywriting courses by December 31st
Why: Improving my writing skills will help me communicate more effectively with my readers, be more engaging, captivating, and communicate more clearly.
Reflection/Actions: There is so much to learn and so may amazing resources.
study funnel building
I will easily COMPLETE a funnel building course by December 31st
Why: Funnels are a great way to design an engaging and exciting journey for prospects to get a better understanding of my services and share valuable content with them. I love playing with systems and figuring out what works and what resonates with people. Really looking forward to this.
Status: Nearly finished
Reflection/Actions: I haven’t managed to complete this training. Nearly there but the end of the year got very busy.
study A/B Testing
I will easily COMPLETE A/B testing course by December 31st
Why: A/B testing is a powerful way to test what works better. While I have a good understanding of how A/B testing works, I want to be even more strategic with it.
Reflection/Actions: It was a good confirmation that I know quite a lot about it already.
redesign 'ABUOT ME' page
I will easily redesign my ‘About Me’ PAGE by December 31st
Why: My ‘About Me’ page has looked pretty much the same since I created the website in 2015. A lot has happened since then, I’ve grown and achieved a lot that deserves to be on the page. While I quite like the one I have now, for a long time I’ve been sitting on a specific idea of what I’d want the ‘About Me’ page to look like.
Reflection/Actions: Haven’t made much progress on this. The more I started looking into it the more I realised how much redesigning there is to do. I want to think it through fully and do a great job with it.
My Coaching goals
I will easily RUN 140 initial consultations by December 31st
Why: It will allow me to create the right amount of clients.
Reflection/Actions: I’ve fallen slightly short on this one but even then acquired enough amazing clients.
40 new clients
I will easily work with 40 new inspiring clients by December 31st.
Why: I can only work with a limited number of clients at a time. While, in the past, I used to aim at working with more clients than this, I’m now much more selective, work with fewer clients which will allow me to support them even better.
Reflection/Actions: I’m very happy with this result. My clients are amazing.
I will easily run 400 coaching sessions by December 31st
Why: 400 sessions in a year has been a sweet spot for me.
Reflection/Actions: This year I feel I’ve struck a very good balance between sessions and business development.
I will easily reflect on my coaching session 100 times by December 31st
Why: This is something I started two years ago and really enjoyed it as well as learned a lot from it. Reflecting is one of the best ways to improve. Regular reflecting on my coaching sessions will allow me to be more aware of what made the biggest impact (and do more of it) as well as what needs improvement. I’m determined to achieve absolute coaching mastery, and reflection, without any doubt, accelerates my growth.
I’m continuing this practice still.
Reflection/Actions: Extremely value practice. I’d like to up the number of my reflections as something valuable always comes up.
50 hours studying
I will easily spend 50 hours studying coaching by December 31st
Why: Even though I’ve been studying personal development since 2004 and coaching since 2013, gained several coaching certifications and a degree in psychology, there is so much more I can and want to learn. I want to be continually improving my coaching skills and knowledge so I can be even more effective and help my clients more.
This never ends
Reflection/Actions: I’ve been reading a lot of coaching related books (see in the personal development goals section).
I will easily have 50+ people signing up to my unbreakable self-discipline program by December 31st
Why: I want to help at least 20 people overcome procrastination, self-doubt, excuses, weaknesses, and develop Unbreakable Self-Discipline so they can work towards their goals and dreams.
Reflection/Actions: Because the programme wasn’t ready I was not able to make it available. But that’s changing now.
My profile goals
SSI score 70+
I will easily get my LinkedIn SSI (social selling index) score to 70+ by December 31st
Why: With over 20,000 connections, I want to focus on the quality of my content and the level of engagement with these connections. SSI is a good measure of how engaged I am on LinkedIn and how engaging my content is.
Reflection/Actions: This has proven to be harder than I anticipated. But, I was not as active as I planned to be.
I will easily Reach 3000 subscribers on my youtube CHANNEL by December 31st
Why: Last year I’ve grown from 750 to nearly 2000 subscribers without posting any videos. This year I’d like to reach 3000 subscribers which would be fantastic. While 3000 subscribers doesn’t sound like much, but when I imagine a group of 3000 people, it’s pretty incredible that so many people regularly watch my content. #gratitude
Reflection/Actions: Extremely pleased with this growth. May not seem like much but imagine 4000 people. That’s a big crowd. My YouTube is growing very nicely since I’ve launched my Confidence Series and it just got even better in May.
4000 watched hours
I will easily Reach 4000 watched hours on my Youtube channel (in the last 12 months) by December 31st
Why: This is a great milestone for a youtube channel. This will also allow me to monetise my channel which is increases channel exposure (it’s just how Youtube works).
Reflection/Actions: This was a big target. I’ve made good progress but I’d need a viral video or a lot of regular content to break through 4000 hours.
I will easily be featured or interviewed 5 times by December 31st
Why: This can be on websites, podcasts, magazines etc. It’s a great way to share my knowledge and experience. It’s usually great fun and very good for growing my audience.
If you’d like to interview me, please contact me HERE.
Reflection/Actions: Very happy with this. It could have been many more but the truth is I’ve turned down a few offers because it just wasn’t aligned.
Write my book
I will easily write my Book by December 31st
Why: This time for real! Writing a book is a challenging process, but having a book and being a published author will be great for my business and profile. It will also allow me to share the knowledge of becoming the best version of yourself that I’ve been gaining, practising, and teaching for over 12 years now. I want people to understand why OK is NOT enough!
Status: No progress
Reflection/Actions: I take a bit L on this one. It just wasn’t a priority for me this year.
Speak on stage 3x
I will easily SPEAK on stage/present online at least 3 times (excluding my own workshops) by December 31st
Why: In 2014 I was absolutely terrified with the idea of me speaking in front of people. I decided to challenged my fear and since then I spoke at over 120 events and workshops. These days I speak less often but at paid events and in front of much larger audiences. I want to keep improving my speaking skills.
Reflection/Actions: Not bad .
My value goals
24 Youtube Videos
will easily record 24 Videos for my Youtube Channel by December 31st
Why: I’ve got great feedback on the videos I’ve created in the past and people find them valuable and helpful. I want to create more as I have a lot to share.
Reflection/Actions: All done and many more coming. I’ve launched my Confidence Series of short videos with confidence tips. Check it out HERE.
I will easily publish 24 articles by December 31st
Why: Writing regular articles is not only a great way to share value and develop a closer relationship with my audience but also to bring more traffic to my website and boost its SEO. I find writing articles quite easy now but still want to improve my writing. This includes my goals updates.
Reflection/Actions: I fell short on this goal mostly because I’ve spent months creating all the content for my Self-Discipline Bootcamp and Youtube video series. No excuses though.
24 videos on linkedin
I will easily post 24 videos on LinkedIn by December 31st
Why: Linkedin is a good social media platform to build my audience on as well. Videos are more engaging and stand out over text posts.
Reflection/Actions: Smashed to bits.
200 posts on linkedin
I will easily post 200 times on LinkedIn by December 31st
Why: I want to be much more active on LinkedIn and develop a better connection with my audience. 200 posts will ensure I’ll be posting on most weekdays which will be a significant improvement over last year. What’s the point of having 20K connections if I’m not connecting with them? Right?
Reflection/Actions: Quite disappointed with this. I don’t think I’ve aimed too high. Creating a lot of good content takes quite a lot of time. I did not prioritise it enough.
I will easily get 300,000 views of my posts on LinkedIn by December 31st
Why: Posting on Linkedin is one thing, getting your posts seen is another. The more views my posts get the better impact they will create.
Reflection/Actions: No surprise considering I didn’t post enough content.
I will easily Increase my Instagram engagement to 2% by December 31st
Why: While 2% engagement doesn’t sound like much, for my following size, I’d need to get around 400 engagements per post (likes + comments). That’s a lot!
Reflection/Actions: Well, that’s not even close. I’ve realised how tricky this goal is. The more engagement you get the more followers you get and then the more engagement you need. Instagram is not the main focus so I’m quite happy with this.
1200 instagram Posts
I will easily Reach 1200 total posts on Instagram by December 31st
Why: I want to be consistently active on Instagram. 150 posts will do it. The starting point in 2021 was 1050. So I should reach the total number of posts in 2021 to be 1200.
Reflection/Actions: I’m happy with this.
My Health & fitness goals
I will easily Complete 52 x 24 hour fast (no food) or green days (only raw fruit or veg) by December 31st
Why: I started fasting two years ago and I could FEEL the positive impact it had on my mind and body. While it may seem challenging I got used to it very quickly and actually look forward to the fasting days. It’s a great way to practice self-discipline let your body restore.
Reflection/Actions: I adjusted this goal a bit. I don’t do as many 24h fasts as before but I do 14-18h fasts about 3-4x per week. I find it more beneficial than long fasts less frequently.
48 hour fast
I will easily complete a 48 hour fast (no food) by December 31st
Why: Something I’d like to try and challenge myself with. There is a lot of evidence that 48 hour fast has great health benefits. Bring it on.
Reflection/Actions: This was more difficult than I anticipated. Not because of the fasting (I think ) but because of scheduling. I exercise almost every day and I’m generally very active/productive and I would not be able to do any of that for the two days which was hard for me to justify.
I will easily workout 200 times by December 31st
Why: Exercising is a great way to look after your body, stay healthy, manage your weight, be in a good shape, it energises you, strengthen your self-discipline, and build a stronger connection and understanding of your body. What’s not to like?
January: Workouts: 30, Time: 16:55:19, Calories burned: 9,751

November: Workouts 42, Time: 39:47:34, Calories burned 24,724
December: Workouts 35, Time: 28:28:40, Calories burned 18,247
Reflection/Actions: Very happy with this.
i will easily weigh 78kg or Less by December 31st
Why: I feel that’s my ideal weight with my current muscle mass.
Reflection/Actions: I’ll approach this differently next year. I’ve lost a little bit of weight but generally got fitter which weight alone doesn’t reflect. Measuring bodyfat will probably be more accurate.
Hire personal trainer
I will easily Work with a personal trainer online or offline by June 1st
Why: If you want certain results, work with someone who’s got them already. I want to work(out) under the supervision of a professional PT especially during the weight-loss period.
Reflection/Actions: Started kickboxing sessions again. Loving it.
I will easily do 100 push-ups in one go by December 31st
Why: I failed at this last year. My approach this year is to add 1 extra pushup every day. This should be gradual enough to get there.
Reflection/Actions: 100 pushups is harder than it may seem. I got close but not quite there yet. I’m certainly not giving up on this one.
I will easily do 10,000 push-ups (in total) by December 31st
Why: This is a sub-goal to my 100 push-ups in one go to ensure I do enough training. Plus, it sounds like a great goal, too.
Reflection/Actions: All done.
5 minute plank
I will easily be able to plank for 5-minutes by December 31st
Why: It’s a physical challenge I’d like to accomplish. It’s harder than you might think. Planking is a great exercise to strengthen my core.
October: Didn’t test
Reflection/Actions: I focused on this goal a lot in December and it paid off… just to find out that someone set a new World Record in planking… 9 hours and 30 minutes!!! Blimey!
500 minutes planking
I will easily PLANK for 500 minutes (in total) by December 31st
Why: This is a sub-goal to my 5-minute plank challenge to ensure I do enough training.
Reflection/Actions: I stepped up the planking in December.

Reflection/Actions: As planned, completed on September 18th. What an experience. There is a saying that running helps you to truly get to know yourself. Well, I’m glad I found out I don’t quit even after hours of discomfort/pain.
2.5km under 9 minutes
I will easily run 2.5km under 9 minutes by December 31st
Why: It’s something I was able to do in 2020. I’d like to get there again.
Status: Not tested
Reflection/Actions: Somehow failed to test this.
5km under 19 minutes
I will easily run 5km under 19 minutes by December 31st
Why: It’s something I was able to do in 2020. I’d like to get there again.
Reflection/Actions: I focused mostly on endurance this year to build it up for my ultra-marathon and lost some speed in the process.
10km under 41 minutes
I will easily run 10km under 41 minutes by December 31st
Why: My best time last year was 41:38. 🙂
