MY 2021 GOALS
welcome to My 2021 Goals page.
Every year I set for myself a long list of goals I want to accomplish. I’ve been doing this for over 12 years now. And this year is no exception.
Setting ambitious goals is a great way to dramatically improve your life but also a great way of self-discovery.
Or as David Goggins said:
“I don’t know where my limits are, but I want to go there”
I set my goals in various areas of my life, such as: Business, Coaching, Personal life, Health & Fitness, Profile, and Value.
Since 2017, I’ve been sharing my goals publicly along with monthly updates on my progress.
You may be asking… Why?
![My-story-photo-1-2-copy-2[1] My 2021 Goals - Life Coach Tomas Svitorka My story photo 1 2 copy 21 1](https://tomassvitorka.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/My-story-photo-1-2-copy-21-1.jpg)
THESE are my five reasons
- For those who are thinking of working with me, I want to show that I walk my talk.
- I want others to see me fail. Wait, what? That’s right. Failure is essential part of progress. Pursuing ambitious goals never goals smooth. That’s part of the game. I hope that when others see me facing my challenges they will drop the idea of perfectionism and get on with their goals and dreams.
- I want to inspire you to be more courageous with your own goal, be more driven, committed and disciplined.
- I want to show you how I get stuff done, how I set goals and how I work towards them so you can apply it for your own growth.
- Lastly, when I share my goals with you all it creates the pressure and accountability I need (and want) to push myself. (Trust me, I don’t always feel like it either. But so what?)

While I quite like the one I have now, for a long time I’ve been sitting on a specific idea of what I’d want the ‘About Me’ page to look like.

I want people to understand why OK is NOT enough!
Status: No progress
Reflection/Actions: I take a bit L on this one. It just wasn’t a priority for me this year.
%

Status: 6

I will easily Increase my Instagram engagement to 2% by December 31st

%

Status: 52

I will easily complete a 48 hour fast (no food) by December 31st
Why: Something I’d like to try and challenge myself with. There is a lot of evidence that 48 hour fast has great health benefits. Bring it on.
Status: 0
Reflection/Actions: This was more difficult than I anticipated. Not because of the fasting (I think ) but because of scheduling. I exercise almost every day and I’m generally very active/productive and I would not be able to do any of that for the two days which was hard for me to justify.

Reflection/Actions: I have a daily goal to read for 30 minutes. It’s amazing how much it adds up to over time.

3x30-day challenge
I will easily run 3 personal 30-day challenges by December 31st
Why: Pushing myself in fun ways.
CHALLENGE 1: Daily pushups – starting on 30 and adding 1 every day or deducting 5 if I forget or fail to complete them.
STATUS: ✅ COMPLETED
CHALLENGE 2: 200 minutes of planking in June. I can do as many as I want each day, but by the end of June the total must be 200+
STATUS: ❌ Failed – Wasn’t able to maintain this.
CHALLENGE 3: Complete at least 1000 Pushups in October.
STATUS: ✅ COMPLETED
CHALLENGE 4: Complete 100 minutes of Planking in December.
STATUS: ✅ COMPLETED
Reflection/Actions: GOAL: I want to see at what point I hit my limit.
%
Journal 100x
I will easily journal 100 times by December 31st
Why: Journaling is an invaluable way to gain clarity, think through your ideas and challenges. It’s also a great place to rant and complain so you don’t bother the world with it. No one is interested.
Status: 100
Reflection/Actions: I journal when I need to get clarity on something or simply to decompress. It’s such an undervalued practice.

Weekly Reclections
I will easily CONTINUE my weekly reflections and monthly planning sessions by December 31st
Why: Regular reflecting and planning is an absolute necessity for effective progress. Moreover, it’s something I really enjoy.

So that’s it. Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think. Did it inspire you? Do you think I’m playing it safe (I dare you!).
Let me know what goals you’re working on. I want to know!
if you’re really serious about your goals, contact me and let’s talk about what you’d be able to achieve with my coaching support and accountability.
2021 could (should) be your best year yet!
Hi Tomas! Thank you for sharing your goals; I look forward to watching you achieving them (especially the 5 minute plank…awesome!!!
Will that be a Facebook video?). You have also inspired me to get serious about goal setting. So here’s what I’m going to do… I’m going to revisit our Self-Discipline Bootcamp workbook on Irresistible Goals, do the exercises and write out my goals for 2021 by this time next week. Way to go Tomas!
Hi Kathy, AMAZING! That’s the way to do it.
That’s right. Use the framework and set some exciting … IRRESISTIBLE goals!
Feel free to share them in the group!
Thanks for commenting.
Hi Tomas this was great to read I love how measured it is!
Thanks a lot for the comment
Good morning Tomas, great read. I can see how this is a good motivator + accountability increase. I like that you completed the Tagalog language goal already but have not started the book… Looks like moving to the Philippines is a greater motivation?!
The inspiration I took: I always think I have got too many things I am focusing on/ I aim to achieve. Reading your lists is reassuring that it is not impossible to reach my goals with determination & focus.
Marielle
Thanks Marielle. It definitely is a great motivator.
The book is a secondary goal. Not very urgent. There are only so many plates I can spin well so some things need to wait.
I’m glad to hear you took some inspiration from it. Absolutely, push on with your goals.
thanks for inspiring us Tomas.. !great read and thoughts to improve my goal setting.. !
Hey there,
How do you track the progress on your goals? There’s so many it must be difficult to keep track of them all. Is there an app you use or do you have to manually enter every one into Notes or something?
Thanks!
Hi Patrick, thanks for your question.
My “master tracker” is simply a spreadsheet. However, my individual goals are being tracked through various apps mostly automatically.
example:
Workout related goals are tracked in apple health.
Running related goals are tracked in Strava.
Website goals are tracked in google analytics.
Business related goals are tracked in my biz spreadsheet.
You get the idea. It all comes together in my master goals spreadsheet that I update before the website update.
Because I’m working on most goals, I’m quite aware of where I’m at with each.
I haven’t found an app that would integrate and centralise everything. It may be possible to centralise it through Zapier on some spreadsheet but that would probably take more work than it would save me.
I hope that helps.
Hey there,
How do you record your goals? There’s so many, you must have to do several a day, and they’re so varied – how do you keep track of them all and your progress against them? Is there an app?
Thanks, Patrick, all replied in the previous comment. I hope that helps.
